It would be nice if the list of former Oregon players injured did not continue to grow in the NFL Preseason. The third player to be lost for the season with an ACL tear is Linebacker Joe Walker. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. With him shelved for the year it now leaves opportunity for others to step into the position on the Philadelphia Defense.
Two other former Oregon Ducks are already lost for the season. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu who was working on a comeback with the Miami Dolphins. Chicago Bears Center Hroniss Grasu also tore an ACL the first week of Training Camp.
The Philadelphia Eagles were not very Offensive on Thursday night against their in state rivals. The Defense led the way with four interceptions in a 17-0 shutout of the Pittsburgh Steelers. There were some Offensive Highlights by former Oregon Ducks. Kenjon Barner had a five yard touchdown run after starting the game running backwards. Running Back/Wide Receiver Bralon Addison saw the field rushing and receiving for a combined 39 yards on the night for the Eagles.
Joe Walker was credited with a Tackle and an Assist on the night before the injury.
Philadelphia wraps up the 2016 Preseason visiting the Indianapolis Colts on August 27th.
