In the world of College Football no one is ever safe from injury. Aside from the typical bumps and bruises from Fall Camp typically. On Saturday Wide Receiver Darren Carrington injured his shoulder on a freak play in Practice according to the Register Guard.
It was an open practice for season ticket holders, which about 600 showed up for to see a Preview of the 2016 Oregon Football team. Carrington caught a short pass and hit a bench on the north sideline falling over it. He was on the ground for several minutes and was seen later in the Scrimmage with his arm in a sling and ice on his right shoudler.
For a guy who returned late last season to carry the team at the position, Carrington is expected to be a key player in the Oregon Offense in 2016. He is among several at the position with Starting Experience. Oregon has a crazy amount of depth at the Wide Receiver position and Olympian Devon Allen will be returning to the program this week following his fifth place finish in the 110 Meter Hurdles in Rio last week.
