BCF Toys has ran season projections that update throughout the season based on wins and their 2016 Preseason rankings have the Oregon Ducks slotted fifth. They also have the Ducks winning percentage per game higher than the ESPN Power Index and with a high probability to win all of their games this season.
The BCF Toys Projection looks at some key details along with a ton of details, “Based on opponent-adjusted drive efficiency, approximately 20,000 possessions are contested annually in FBS vs. FBS games. First-half clock-kills and end-of-game garbage drives and scores are filtered out.” The Strength of Schedule factor takes into account if a team would not only go undefeated, but also defeat each of their opponents entire season schedule.
Some of the highlights according to their numbers:
- Oregon’s two biggest question marks are Nebraska and USC, both above the 50 percent mark for wins.
- Five games are above the 90 percent mark for a likely victory including UC Davis, California, Colorado, Arizona State, and Oregon State.
