Is Oregon Football falling behind when it comes to having the coolest uniforms in the Country?

Oregon Football has consistently been on the forefront of Uniform Technology and Brand. The days of clamoring for what Oregon is wearing that week could be starting to wane. It amazes me that a program can continue to innovate what seems to be every week with something new and unique. However, other programs are starting to catchup.

Even the NFL is getting into the Uniform act, with Color Rush Uniforms. If your into Gold, then Jacksonville is your team. Several College teams have also stepped up their game.

Louisville recently released the helmet they will wear this week.

They are amazing. Oregon Football has resorted to an easier way to handle their helmets. Last week they were putting decals on black helmets. It was cool, but the Cardinal helmet reminds me of the Winged design that the Ducks came out with over the last few seasons. It will be worn this week when Louisville takes on Florida State.

A little closer to home, Arizona will wear special uniforms to honor Pearl Harbor this week in Hawaii. Again, the design is amazing, or in the words of Jim Rome, straight FIRE!

Each part of the uniform represents something as they Recognize, Remember and Honor. Even though the team is on the road, the opportunity was taken to design something unique to the event that will be in December, the 75th Anniversary.

Of course, this article may not have much leverage over the next day or two. Oregon Football has yet to release their uniforms for Nebraska this week. The Ducks and Cornhuskers take the field at Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 12:30pm Pacific Time on ABC.
