Oregon Ducks Wide Receiver Devon Allen Done For 2016 Season

Oregon Ducks Wide Receiver Devon Allen appears to be done for the season after a non-contact knee injury at Nebraska.

One of the team’s feel good stories of the year, that of Olympian/Wide Receiver Devon Allen may be over. Allen ran in the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro in the 110 Meter Hurdles and finished the 5th fastest in the world. He can back to Eugene and played in the the first three games of the football season, but his 2016 season came to an end according to DuckTerritory.com.

Devon Allen tore the ACL in his right knee the College Football Playoff in 2015 against Florida State The Ducks medical staff feared the worse following the game in Nebraska and Head Coach Mark Helfrich was not sounding too positive on the bevy of injuries when asked following the game, “We’re going to have to wait until Monday. We’ve got some preliminary stuff, but nothing concrete.”

Allen has shown his return to the football field on several big plays in the first three games and has 4 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown this season.

In July he took the US Men’s Title in the 110 Meter Hurdles that took him to the Olympics.
