The only thing that might be cooler than Oregon wearing a uniform inspired by their mascot would be if Oregon State did the same thing, but the uniforms were made of all fur. While Oregon has been innovative with uniforms over the years, this week is no different. The one that still stands out to me is the Oregon Trail Uniforms from last season.
If nothing else, the team will actually wear the school colors for the first time this year, and in full with green tops, white pants, and yellow on the helmets. The socks and shoes are full on orange and I wonder if Kicker Matt Wogan will be able to wear his bright green shoes on Saturday as he has each game this season, including Nebraska last weekend.
There is a cool look at the History of the Oregon Mascot from the Webfoots, to the hand shake agreement with Walt Disney to how the mascot has become, at times, the highlight of a basketballl game for kids of all ages without even saying a word.
