The 2016 season started with UC Davis and Virginia but there were issues then that really reared their ugly head. Some thought they problems could be fixed and the season saved, but after Saturday night this Oregon Ducks team may struggle to make a bowl game this season.
There have been more than a handful of factors that have led to this point. From injuries, to coaching decisions, to learining on the job in some cases it has been a rough start ending most recently with three straight losses, and an 0-2 start in the Pac-12 Conference.
Fans are not happy and are calling for Helfrich to be fired. The Defense has been atrocious, but therei is something to remember. Over the last five years, the Defense has not been much better. Last season they gave up 28 points per game, this year may be worse, but there is different scheme to learn.
Who Takes The Blame For The Oregon Ducks 2-3 Start?
So, where do the biggest issues lie? I believe it is a culmination of all of this that brings us to where we are. Add to this the fact of recruiting has gotten better around the Pac-12 and teams are catching up to Oregon in ways of talent. The Ducks were due.
