Washington Head Coach Chris Peterson announced that his players are off limits this week and will not speak with the media. Ted Miller from ESPN thinks it may be to limit Trash Talk about a rivalry that has seen Oregon win 12 straight times. On the flip side, Oregon had media availability on Monday and Offensive Line Coach Steve Greatwood was asked about the streak. He provided a little motivation saying that it would not end this season. Offensive Lineman Cameron Hunt echoed the same sentiment.
The media should not need to talk with the Washington Defense. All of the talk has been done in on the field. They have walked the walk to a 5-0 start to the top of the Pac-12 North. Washington demolished the Stanford Cardinal last weekend at home. As a team, they average 45 points per game with the Defense allowing just over 12 points per game this season.
It will be a one-sided conversation leading up to the Top 5 matchup this week in Eugene.
