For the Oregon Ducks and Head Coach Dana Altman it has been a week of being noticed. The season for the team begins next week with games on Monday and Friday. Last week, Oregon was ranked number 5 in the first Associated Press poll of the season. This week saw two more notices for the team from Eugene.
Sports Illustrated was in town last week to take photos of Chris Boucher at a local park in Eugene. Earlier this week, one of those photos was revealed as the cover for Sports Illustrated to bring in the College Basketball season. Add to it the accolade for Dillon Brooks and the buzz for 2016 is now official.
Brooks was named as a Preseason All American by the Associated Press according to GoDucks.com. A first not only for Brooks but for the Oregon Basketball Program. It was the first time someone from the Pac-12 received the honor since 2009. CBS Sports also named Brooks as an All American on Wednesday.
