Oregon Ducks Primed For Women’s College World Series Run
The Oregon Ducks Softball team found Offense over the weekend for two run-ruled games making the Super Regional Round of the NCAA Tournament.
It was a big weekend Mike White and Oregon(50-6). When all was said and done, the Ducks now own a 24-0 NCAA Regional record at home(for both Jane Sanders Stadium and former Howe Field). Over the weekend, Jane Sanders Stadium was loud and proud to watch a three-game series that saw the home team take care of business.

Oregon opened the weekend Friday by run-ruling Illinois-Chicago, then went on to beat a challenging Wisconsin team in the second game of the Tournament. The Badgers had Oregon on the ropes early, but an eight-pitch count to Mia Camuso in the fifth inning began to turn the tide for Oregon. Camuso fouled off five pitches before the turnaround began.
The Ducks came away with an extra-inning win before taking care of Wisconsin early on Sunday in the Eugene Championship in the Regional round. Despite hitting just over .200 in the second game, Oregon came out batting .395 for the three-game series and held Wisconsin to hitting .071 in the Championship game thanks in part to Maggie Balint giving up just two hits for her 20th win of the season.
Oregon will host Kentucky(39-17) this weekend in a best of three Super Regional at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene. Kentucky comes out of the Lexington Regional where they took care of Illinois twice to make the Super Regional. Games will be played Friday, Saturday, and Sunday(if necessary).
