The Oregon Football team picked up their 10th recruit for 2018 on Thursday with the addition of Jonathan King.

With Summer quickly approaching and the Oregon Spring Game in the rear view mirror, the quick signings post game have started to wear off. Head Coach Willie Taggart wasted no time in finding talent in the Sunshine State to get his summer started off right.

3-Star Defensive End Jonathan King from Tampa Florida committed to the University of Oregon after meeting with Taggart. Of the ten commitments for the Class of 2018, six are on Defense with four on Offense according to the Oregonian.

Willie Taggart has hit the Florida Well twice (so far) for the 2018 Class. Isaiah Bolden was the first to commit to the Oregon Ducks this year from the Sunshine State.

With Florida, Florida State and Miami typically ruling the State and usually those commitments, Taggart has found a way to bring that talent West to Eugene. We can hope the Florida pipeline that Taggart and the Coaching Staff have built continues to lead recruits to Oregon.

There will be a lot of new faces for Oregon Football in 2017, as well as some experienced players that should have the makings of a competitive environment. It will be interesting to see if the incoming talent will see the field early in their careers and where they fit in the scheme for Taggart’s Style.
