The Oregon Ducks Baseball season did not go as planned, but one constant was Starter David Peterson who will be rewarded on Monday night.

Peterson returned to the Oregon Ducks for his Junior Season and raised his Draft Stock becoming a sure fire Friday Starter doing his best to get an opening win for the Ducks throughout the season. He was successful more often than not. On the year he was 11-4 with a 2.51 Earned Run Average.

David Peterson showed throughout the season that he could find the strike zone. In some games, he did so effortlessly and ended the season with multiple double-digit strikeout games. Baseball America has the former Oregon Duck ranked 17th, but others have him inside the Top 15.

One mock draft has Peterson heading to either the New York Yankees or the Houston Astros. Both could be great destinations for the former Oregon Lefty. Outside of Peterson, there are other Oregon Ducks who could hear their names called during the MLB Draft.

Of course, Oregon may also lose some prospects as well. Kyle Kassar had one of the best seasons in an Oregon Ducks uniform, finishing the year batting .352. Tim Susnara and Jake Bennett may also have new homes. Susnara had a good year behind the plate batting .248 with five home runs. Bennett showed the leather with a stellar catch at Arizona and was a constant in the outfield in 2017.
