Oregon Basketball Recruiting: Transfer MiKyle McIntosh Commits To Ducks
The top transfer available in College Basketball will help the Oregon Ducks get back to the NCAA Tournament next season.
MiKyle McIntosh recently took a visit to Oregon and met with Head Coach Dana Altman. On Wednesday, he announced on Twitter that he was coming to Eugene. This is a huge ‘get’ for Altman and Oregon Basketball for the upcoming season. The Transfer brings with him experience and he’ll step in right away and take control on Offense.

Altman has been looking for a player to come in who could contribute right away and have next level experience. While Oregon has several top prospects coming, including 5-Star Troy Brown, there was one thing that swayed McIntosh to become a Duck.
McIntosh spoke about his decision with ESPN, “I chose Oregon because I felt they were the best option for what I was looking for, they play a free-flowing offense where versatility is showcased. Also, their track record speaks for itself in their success the last few years.”
Altman has had success in his seven seasons with Oregon including back to back Elite 8 appearances and the team’s first Final Four Appearance since 1939 in 2016-17. Oregon lost three-quarters of their Offense and Defense with Tyler Dorsey, Dillon Brooks, Chris Boucher, and Jordan Bell departing.

The addition of MiKyle McIntosh will make the upcoming season feel like more of a retooling than a rebuilding for the future. As a Graduate Transfer from Illinois State he will be eligible to play immediately for the Oregon Ducks.
