Oregon Football added a Wide Receiver commitment on Monday from a State where they have found plenty of success lately.

The 12th commitment of the 2018 Class puts Oregon Football among the top recruiting Classes for the year. Four-Star Wide Receiver Warren Thompson made the announcement via YouTube.. He joins the Ducks over Alabama and Florida State. According to Duck Territory, Thompson is currently the Ducks second highest commit for next year’s recruiting class.

Since the conclusion of the Spring Game the news of commitments and visits seems to be non-stop with the Coaching Staff led by Head Coach Willie Taggart. The presence on Social Media is keeping both fans and the media in the loop as Taggart and Company are building toward the future with key pieces to a puzzle that will do better than 4-8 from last year.

The Florida Pipeline is going strong with Oregon Football picking up their third commitment from the Sunshine State. The team has one glaring area that will need to be filled and with high caliber talent, it should ease the concern for players stepping up as Leaders.

Leadership plagued the 2016 team that finished 4-8. Entering 2017 the same lack of leadership is still there. Last season players like Royce Freeman were expected to step up and did not do their job off the field to their full potential. Entering 2017 Troy Dye will be expected to take on the role with Freeman also getting another opportunity. Someone else will need to step into the role.

Next: Quarterback Travis Jonsen To Transfer

Thompson will push for playing time in his first season with Oregon. His 6 foot 3 frame should help him see the field as a True Freshman.
