Oregon Ducks Sprinter Deajah Stevens To Turn Pro, Forgo Senior Season
The Oregon Ducks took the triple crown of Track and Field last month, and one of their top sprinters has made the decision to move on.
Junior Deajah Stevens played an integral role in the final event, the 4×400 taking the second leg and giving herself and teammate Raevyn Rogers the opportunity to get the final points needed for the Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Hayward Field.

Stevens also has experience as an Olympian in 2016 and will spent a chunk of her Summer in London competing in the 100 Meters and 200 Meters in the IAAF World Championships. With the accomplishments behind her, she announced Wednesday on Twitter that she is leaving the University of Oregon and turning Professional.
Deajah Stevens holds the school record in the 200 Meters with a time of 22.09 from the Pac-12 Championships last season. The time stands as the second fastest in Women’s NCAA History. In her time at Oregon as a Junior College Transfer, Stevens made the most of the opportunity.
Her accomplishments on the Track were in half the time. Others could consider that a solid four-year career. With the success of the Oregon Women this past season I would expect another name or two to potentially take the same route as Stevens.
Raevyn Rogers, the 800 Meter Queen could also announce soon that she will either return to the Oregon Ducks or turn pro.
Stevens will have her first event as a Professional next month in London. She will compete in the World Championships from August 5th-13th.
