Oregon Football: Royce Freeman On Two Preseason Watch Lists
Oregon Football Senior Running Back Royce Freeman will be a force in the Pac-12 this season and on Friday he was added to two preseason watch lists.
While it was delayed by a day, Freeman did make the Doak Walker Award Watch List. The reasoning is simplified by a changing of the guards so to speak. Long Time Associate Dave Williford retired at the beginning of the month and the paperwork was simply not turned in, until Friday. With Freeman meeting all the qualifications, he was added to the preseason list for Best Running Back.

Friday also saw the Oregon Football Senior added to the Walter Camp Award Watch List for Player of the Year. The latter is a no brainer. Freeman is entering his fourth season as the Oregon Ducks Starting Running Back. He needs just under 1000 yards this season for 5000 yards in his career.
Last season for Freeman was derailed due to injury. He started against Nebraska, but left the game early and never appeared like himself for the remainder of the season, although he did play quite a few snaps. Last season Oregon finished 4-8 leading to a change at Head Coach with Willie Taggart entering the fray.
Freeman has spent time this offseason getting stronger and working on fundamentals all over again, along with his teammates. He is also one of a short list of players to be touched by three different Head Coaches starting with Chip Kelly and ending with first year Head Coach Willie Taggart.
