His heroics in the final seconds of the game AGAINST Utah last season will not soon be forgotten as he hauled in the game winning touchdown catch with seconds left in the game in the corner of the end zone. October 28th is now the date to circle for Carrington’s return with his new team.
Over his three seasons with the Oregon Football program, Darren Carrington has averaged over 600 yards per season. His experience on the field made him a potential Star Wide Receiver, but his off the field issues are also well documented. From a DUII Charge earlier this month. Carrington also missed the National Championship Game in 2015 after a failed drug test, also causing him to miss six games the following season.
On the field, he is a threat and the ‘go to’ player that Defenses will have to work hard to defend. The addition to an Offense that will be more pass friendly under a new Offensive Coordinator in Troy Taylor gives the Utes their tallest option at the position entering the 2017 season.
