Oregon Football at Arizona State Sundevils: Three Things I’ll Be Watching
Offensive Consistency has been an issue for Oregon Football and working it out could be the difference between a win or a loss Saturday.
The Oregon Football team has passed several key tests early in the season, but Head Coach Willie Taggart now takes the team to Arizona State for a Pac-12 After Dark meeting with the Sundevils, a team that the Ducks have beaten enough times that it can be counted on both fingers.
The most recent ‘close’ game was two seasons ago when Arrion Springs saved the game with an interception in the endzone in double overtime. That team, and this team are different. The fundamentals that have built the Oregon Ducks with the new coaching staff could take this program farther than we thought this season.
Oregon brings the top scoring Running Back in the Country in Royce Freeman. The Senior is one score away from owning the all time scoring mark for the University of Oregon. He is currently tied with LaMichael James. He is one of the storylines I will have my eye on Saturday night.

Consistency of the Defense is a second. They have played well enough for 33rd in the Nation and have a key statistic as the top team in the country in passes defended. Over the last two years the consistency was not there. It is clear they are playing as a team and that needs to continue all season for the team to be successful.
Offensive Consistency is not as much of an issue as some are making it. When you average 42 points per game in the first half, the second half IS still important and there is no better game then Saturday for that point to be made pregame. ASU may be down, but homefield advantage and a game under the lights sometimes brings out the best in players.
The Oregon Football team will have to have consistent play on both sides of the ball in a hostile environment.
The names to know on Saturday for the Ducks Defense include Thomas Graham, who already has a two interception game this season. Troy Dye and Jonah Moi could also have big games for Oregon.
