Oregon Basketball Teams Playing Saturday For Those Affected By Oregon Wildfires

Oregon Basketball is less than a week away and fans will have an opportunity to see an exhibition doubleheader on Saturday

The Oregon Women’s Basketball team will host Portland State at 9:30 am, before the Oregon Men face Idaho starting at 11 am. Admission for both games is a $10 donation to the American Redcross Oregon Wildfire Fund.

Fans are encouraged to bring cash or check for General Admission seating that includes both games.

The Oregon Men’s Basketball team is coming off their first Final Four Appearance since 1939 with plenty of new faces including Troy Brown. Payton Pritchard and Keith Smith are to of the key return players from last season and Transfer Elijah Brown will be one to watch all season. On the Women’s Side, Oregon is loaded with talent.

Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard are now Sophomores. After a record-setting 2016-17 season, the Ducks will again look to get back to the NCAA Tournament.

Both contests will have four 10 minute quarters and a 5-minute halftime. Oregon Football kicks off against Utah at 2:45 pm at Autzen Stadium.

The hope is for fans to come get an early look at the Ducks’ on the Hardwood according to Head Coach Dana Altman, “NCAA has given us a unique opportunity to give back to our state, and we are honored to be able to do that. We want to encourage those fans who are coming to Eugene for the football game to come early and watch basketball for a good cause.”

Fans will be able to arrive at Matthew Knight Arena starting at 9am on Saturday. There is no tv or radio for the exhibition games. Autzen Zoo will have updates along with our Football pregame coverage.
