The Oregon Ducks halted a two-game losing streak with key shooting from Elijah Brown on Thursday night.

Arizona State started out hot hitting 75 percent from three-point range and 71 percent from the floor. Midway through the first half, it was 19-15 ASU. The Oregon Ducks were beginning to find foul trouble early. Over half of the Sun Devils 19 points came off the bench in the opening minutes. Remy Martin was 3 for 5 from the floor with 7 points early.

Oregon held Arizona State off the scoreboard consecutive trips down the floor to close the gap to 21-19. The Ducks would be patient and take the lead with just over five minutes left in the first half. Arizona State went cold shooting hitting a 1 for 9 streak. Head Coach Dana Altman had every Oregon Player in the game with at least four minutes, a rarity over the last month.

Elijah Brown hits a three-pointer entering halftime giving Oregon a 43-40 lead over Arizona State, something he was unable to do against UCLA last weekend. The Ducks hit just two of ten from three-point range in the first half.

The second half started with back to back shots by Elijah Brown giving Oregon a 48-40 lead and forcing and Arizona State timeout. Both teams would find scoring droughts in the second half, but Oregon used Elijah Brown to key the Offense.

With just under 10 minutes left in the second half, Oregon led 62-52. While Oregon was on a 7-0 run, Arizona State kept trying three-pointers that would not fall going 0 for 5 in the same stretch.

Elijah Brown led Oregon with 18 points and the Ducks were just 4 for 16 from beyond the arc on the night in a 75-68 win over Arizona State. It wasn’t pretty, but it was a win at home.
