Oregon Ducks Seniors Lead To Team Win Over Arizona Wildcats
The Oregon Ducks kept it close most of the game and forced 17 Arizona turnovers in a 96-90 Overtime win on Saturday.
Arizona jumped out to a 7-0 start before MiKyle McIntosh put the Ducks on the board with a three-pointer. Despite the controversy surrounding Sean Miller, the Wildcats came out looking for a Pac-12 Title against Oregon and it showed early on. At the first media timeout, they were in control hitting 75 percent from the floor.
The Oregon Ducks kept pace with three-point shots from McIntosh, Troy Brown and MiKyle McIntosh. Oregon opened the game hitting 80 percent from beyond the arc.
The Oregon Ducks did what they could as Arizona continued to hit from the floor to the tune of 12 for their first 16 shots for a 27-19 lead. The Wildcats had 14 points in the paint early compared to just 4 for Oregon. Kenny Wooten picked up his second foul with just over 10 minutes left in the first half.
The Oregon Ducks Defense had two key stops in the final minutes of the first half. One resulted in a Technical Foul on the Arizona Bench and two free throws for Elijah Brown. He made both pulling the Ducks within 6 at 38-32 Oregon.

The crowd at Matthew Knight Arena was electric in the first half, ebbing and flowing with every shot. Oregon was down 5, 43-37 at the break. MiKyle McIntosh and Elijah Brown led the Ducks at the break with 8 points. Arizona went into the break shooting 56 percent, Oregon at 40 percent.
Arizona pushed the lead back to double digits in the first two minutes of the second half. MiKyle McIntosh and Payton Pritchard continued to play hard and keep Oregon close. Elijah Brown was fouled on a three-point shot with 9:30 left. Elijah Brown hit three free throws to pull Oregon within two 64-62 as the crowd again came to their feet.
On the next possession, Oregon took the lead on an Elijah Brown three-pointer. The Ducks would not have the lead long with Arizona State tying the game. Paul White pushed the lead back to three points with just under 5 minutes left.
The Ducks had Arizona in the right spot at the end of the game, tied at 83 and with the final possession with 15 seconds left. The shot did not fall sending the game into Overtime. Oregon got off to a fast 5-0 start but Arizona fought back. Kenny Wooten picked up a technical foul with just under two minutes left in the first overtime. After foul shots, Oregon held onto a four-point lead and maintained possession.
MiKyle McIntosh hit a three-point shot with a minute left and a 95-88 lead on Arizona. Payton Pritchard missed two free throws with just under 10 seconds remaining and Arizona dropped a three-pointer on the other end pulling within 3, 96-93 with four seconds left.
The Oregon Ducks won the game 98-93 with five players in double figures. Elijah Brown finished the game with 30 points hitting 15 of 17 from the free throw line. It was a key win that Oregon needed for their postseason chances.
