Jakob Goldfarb continues to lead Oregon at the plate, batting .328 on the season. He is one of four Ducks with over 20 hits on the season and leads the team with 4 home runs. Kyle Kasser is also an offensive threat for Oregon with six stolen bases this season. He is tied with Spencer Steer for the team lead in hits with 23.
On the mound, Matt Mercer had a solid non-conference and had a solid outing against Arizona State. Mercer had 8 strikeouts in six innings and did not result in the decision. The Oregon Bullpen lost the game in the eighth inning giving up five runs. The Ducks lost 7-5.
In an effort to solidify the Starter for Saturday, the Oregon Ducks are turning to Kenyon Yovan on Saturday against Cal. Both teams are looking to get back into the Pac-12 hunt.
