Tennessee Titans Quarterback Marcus Mariota had an impressive, but brief showing against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

The former Oregon Football Quarterback, entering his fourth season in the National Football League went 2 for 3 for 78 yards and a touchdown taking just about six minutes off the clock. Mariota spent part of the offseason spending time with his Wide Receivers and Tight Ends to work on fundamentals and building chemistry with his teammates. That showed on Thursday night as the Titans opened the NFL Preseason against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Tennessee lost the game in the end 31-17 after taking a 10-7 lead into Halftime. On his line drive of the night, Mariota was impressive converting two third downs and finding some running space for a brief 7-yard scamper. Last season, Mariota struggled to find his run game, but it is clear under new Head Coach Mike Vrabel team will be more Offensively focused around Mariota and his dual-threat capability.

Blaine Gabbert and former Pac-12 foe Luke Falk also saw time in the game with Falk closing out the game. Falk had the best night completing 10 for 19 passes for over 100 yards and a touchdown.

The Wide Receivers saw work on both sides of the ball with 29 players seeing time on the field, 15 from the Tennessee Titans roster. Nick Williams and Devon Ross led the way for Tennesee averaging 38 and 15 yards on three catches.

The Tennessee Titans host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second week of the NFL Preseason. The Bucs are without Quarterback Jameis Winston for the first three weeks of the regular season and Tampa Bay will have to answer some questions at Quarterback before the start of the regular season.

Tennessee and Tampa Bay kickoff on Saturday, August 18th at 5 pm Pacific Time.
