The Oregon Ducks put up over 500 yards of Offense in a 62-14 win where some new faces got their hands on the ball.
Oregon Football played their second game of the regular season against the Portland State Vikings. In the non-conference In-State Rivalry, the Ducks had the advantage. Portland State did not win a game last season and lost their season opener against Nevada last weekend.
Portland State would start with the ball in a less than full house at Autzen Stadium for the 11 am kickoff. The Vikings opened with a first down on the opening drive, but the second drive ended in a punt. Oregon Football struggled on their opening drive to start with Herbert missing several receivers early. He was also hit and had a ball batted by the Portland Defense.
Brendan Schooler pulled in a first down pass to the PSU 28-yard line. Justin Herbert threw the ball up for Jaylon Redd three plays later for the Ducks first Touchdown of the game. The drive took just over two minutes off the clock and gave Oregon Football a 7-0 lead.
