Oregon Football is becoming well versed in Prime Time games this season and the trend continues next weekend on the road at California.

The Oregon Ducks are currently 3-0 on the season and trending upward entering Pac-12 play. It is not much of a surprise that the week following Stanford the team has been selected for another Prime Time game. Oregon visits California for their first road game of the year, and in Conference, vs the California Golden Bears at 7:30 pm Pacific Time on Fox Sports 1.

The Ducks last season did not win a Pac-12 Conference road game under then Head Coach Willie Taggart. Entering this season, the team returns a newly revitalized ground game led by Tony Brooks-James, along with Heisman Contending Quarterback Justin Herbert and a Defense that has already shown some impressive flashes this season.

The Golden Bears, like the Oregon Ducks, have prided themselves on solid Defensive efforts in the non-conference slate. The team has allowed just 15 points in the first three-quarters of each game played this season.

This allowed the Cal Offense to get the game well in hand and work in the second and third string players late in the game – the way teams that contend want their non-conference slate to go. Getting valuable experience ‘in game’ is key to having success down the road if there are injuries or a key matchup that could favor the team.

California is 3-0 this season and Head Coach Justin Wilcox would like nothing better than to take a win from Oregon Football, his former team. It could help jump-start the season and increase his team’s visibility Nationally and could also help make the push for a bowl game this season for the Golden Bears. The Oregon Storyline will also likely be a key leading up to the game next weekend.

California has beaten California, BYU, and Idaho State. The team has a Bye Week this week to prepare for Oregon before traveling to Arizona. The team then returns home for a surefire game of the week as the Golden Bears host Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins in an In-State Rivalry.

Up first, Oregon Football faces the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday night at 5 pm Pacific Time on ABC.
