Conferences

You’ll never guess who’s got the most ranked teams. Joking. It’s the Southeastern Conference, again. They have seven — Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Texas A&M and Mississippi State. Our Pac-12? Three — Oregon, Washington and Washington State, Oregon’s next week opponent.

Most Underrated Teams

Florida – I don’t think it’s hyperbole to argue that the Gators have the most impressive resume in the country. With wins @ Mississippi State and home versus LSU, Dan Mullen has righted the ship after his lone loss against (spoiler) an underrated Kentucky squad. They have a shut-down defense and a swarm of dynamic running backs. The fact that their Central comrades (UCF) are ahead of them is ridiculous. Florida is flat out better than them.

Kentucky – Yeah, I’m going heavy SEC because, unlike an idiot, I think it’s the best conference in College Football — by a lot. And Kentucky, traditionally a basketball power, has a legit top five defense in the country led by linebacker and  first-round projected pick Josh Allen. They also have a Heisman contender in Benny Snell in their backfield. But here’s why they’re underrated: wins at Florida and home against Mississippi State are as impressive a duo of victories as anyone in the country has, even OU. That game against Georgia in a few weeks should be a marquee matchup.

Most Overrated Teams

UCF – Please stop with the 2018 National Champs BS. No one is buying it. Bama would’ve beaten you like Captain Hadley beat Fat Ass in The Shawshank Redemption. Which was to death. Fat Ass died. Just like your CFP hopes should’ve after you again failed to schedule even one quality opponent. Am I supposed to be impressed by a one point victory at Memphis? I’m not. Kentucky and Florida and Oregon are all behind them. Good grief. Those teams 1.) have each beat at least one top-25 team and 2.) are actual states, without directions in front. So yeah, Get outta here UCF.

Iowa – IOWA! IOWA? Really, c’mon AP, what have they done. NOTHING! Their best win? At Iowa State. That’s just not a marquee win worthy of a place in the top twenty. And the Hawkeyes lost to Wisconsin (also overrated) who just got their socks rocked against Michigan. That team isn’t good. What are people seeing in Iowa? I don’t get it man — I really don’t.
