Oregon Basketball: Ducks Rally, But Fall At Baylor
Oregon Basketball lost a game on Friday that could have helped them down the stretch in March, but a late rally came up short at Baylor 57-47.
For those that watched the game on television, the first thing that stood out to me was that someone was on the wrong floor and Oregon had the better uniforms on the road to go with the colors on the court. I’m sorry, but playing games in highlighter yellow can’t help but stand out. Baylor was the better team on Friday night.
The Oregon Offense was again without Bol Bol and also Abu Kigab and the team struggled in the first half to even get a basket. In the final five minutes of the first half, the Oregon Ducks scored just two baskets, but after halftime the team came to life getting to within two points of the Baylor Bears before coming up short of the win.

Once again, Payton Pritchard and Will Richardson worked hand in hand on Offense. Richardson is getting more comfortable. He finished with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Pritchard finished with 14 points. The Ducks shot just 40 percent from the floor in the first half. The team improved with 55 percent in the second half.
The Bears had 34 points inside the paint and outrebounded Oregon 33 to 18. Baylor also had 18 assists on the night. Oregon again struggled to get started and that usually means a loss, however, it was good to see fight again on the road as the Ducks pulled to within two points late in the game almost completing a comeback and a win.
If there is any consolation in the Pac-12 this season it is level of talent. Every team has two losses and Arizona, the usual contender lost to Alabama this season. The Ducks and Wildcats sit at 9-4 while Colorado and Arizona State are 8-2 and 9-2 respectively.
The Oregon Ducks remain on the road and travel to Boise State for their second meeting his season on Saturday, December 29th. (4:30 pm PT, CBS Sports Network)
