Two ranked teams in the Pac-12 meet on Friday night as the Ducks host Arizona State.

The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team is on a roll. The Ducks are coming off a road trip where they beat USC and UCLA last week on the road by a combined 60 points. Oregon has the most potent Offense in the nation averaging over 90 points per game. This week they host the Arizona schools starting with 19th ranked Arizona State on Friday at Matthew Knight Arena.

While 5th ranked Oregon has scorers all over the court, Arizona State has two players are scoring in double figures this season with Kianna Ibis(13 points per game) and Courtney Ekmark(10 points per game) hitting double digits. ASU topped California by a point 62-61 to close out a split last weekend after losing to Stanford.

For the Oregon Ducks, the team has been dominant both at home and on the road this season. Their lone blemish, a loss at Michigan State. For Head Coach Kelly Graves, Satoy Sabally has helped power Oregon this month averaging over 22 points per game  and close to 10 rebounds. She is also shooting over 50 percent from the floor. You don’t have to look too far past Sabally to find the Ducks other playmakers.

Ruthy Hebard has already found her inside game. Sabrina Ionescu and Erin Boley are threats from both inside and outside the arc. The Ducks pulled down 10 Offensive rebounds last week against UCLA as the team keyed on that part of their game last week. It not only worked in practice, but came through in a big way during the game.

Oregon is quickly becoming a complete team and has a ton of playmakers. For Arizona State to compete, they will have to play well on the Defensive end early and play quality shots. Kianna will Ibis and Ekmark will have to set the pace and get Oregon out of rhythm.

The Ducks and Wildcats tipoff from Matthew Knight Arean on Friday at 6 pm Pacific Time. (Pac-12 Network)
