The Arizona State Sundevils gave the Oregon Ducks all they could handle, but a key block by Satou Sabally late helped Oregon to a 77-71 win Friday night.

Arizona State battled for the entire game with Oregon, never giving up. They were able to find shots. Taya Hanson entered the game having not hit a three-pointer this season. Against Oregon, she hit two of them and finished with 6 points.

Oregon showed down the stretch they were the stronger team. They clamped down on Defense led by Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally. With under three minutes to go, Sabally had a big blocked shot, a rarity in the Women’s game. Defense is one areas the team has been working over the last few weeks and it showed against Arizona State.
