The road is never an easy place to play, especially with a team looking for experience. The Oregon Ducks played well in the first half but lost the game in the second half vs Arizona State.

Head Coach Dana Altman watched his team battle in the first half against Arizona State. It was tied at 39 at halftime. The second half saw the Sundevils break on a 22-2 run. That was enough to win the game against the Ducks. Oregon found momentum last week beating Arizona on the road and holding the Wildcats to shooting under 40 percent from the floor. They were not able to contain ASU.

Arizona State shot 51 percent from the floor and landed 17 of 21 free throws. Both teams had 15 turnovers, but the Sundevils came through with 25 points from their bench players. Oregon saw Payton Prichard get back on track with 20 points. He led the team with 6 assists. Arizona State was more efficient with 17 assists in the game.

The Sundevils had five players score in double figures. For Oregon, Paul White, who has been effective inside over the last two games finished with 12 points and was 4 for 10 from the floor. Will Richardson saw the floor for 22 minutes and had 4 points.

There were 12 lead changes in the game. Oregon kept Arizona State away from the basket for the last three and half minutes but were unable to capitalize. Oregon shot 12 of 13 from the free throw line, ASU was 17 of 21.

Altman is down two players with Bol and the transfer of Abu Kigab. The team is in the process of rediscovering a sense of identity that was seen against Arizona, but disappeared against Arizona State in the second half. As the season rolls on, the Ducks should show improvement.

The Oregon Ducks return home to face the Washington schools. Washington visits Matthew Knight Arena on Thursday night (6 pm, Pac-12 Network)
