Sabrina Ionescu Nets 16th Triple Double In Win Over Arizona

The Oregon Ducks opened the game scoring 31 points in the first quarter alone as everyone got experience in a 93-60 win over Arizona

Kelly Graves watched his team put a close game against Arizona State from Thursday behind. Oregon outplayed Arizona from the start en route to shooting better than 50 percent from the floor. Sabrina Ionescu added to her triple-double total which now sits at 16 for her career. Ionescu finished the game with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. She was on the floor for 35 minutes.

After hitting key free throws to help the Ducks to a win over Arizona State, she put on a show once again showing her talent on the floor. The Ducks had 24 points and 34 points in the paint led by Ruthy Hebard and Satou Sabally. Hebard was 5 for 6 from inside the paint. Sabally led with 25 points scoring 9 fo 14 from the field including 5 of 7 from three-point range. Erin Boley finished the game 5 for 10 from three-point range and had 19 points. Maite Cazorla had five points along with 5 assists vs the Arizona Wildcats.

The story of the game was the Oregon Defense. The Ducks held Arizona to just 4 points in the first quarter, quickly putting the game out of reach for the Wildcats. Arizona shot just 25 percent from beyond the arc. Oregon outrebounded Arizona 41-25 for the game.

Oregon saw a quick start with Sabally scoring 18 points in the first quarter. For Ionescu, it was her sixth triple-double this season. Oregon is showing that they can play as a team, and do it well. They came together against Arizona State and held onto the lead late, and jumped out to a big advantage against Arizona.

The Oregon Ducks take a ten game winning streak on the road to the Washington schools this week. The Ducks visit Washington State Friday. Tipoff is set for 7 pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network.
