The 5th ranked Oregon Ducks struggled to find rebounds in the second quarter but battled back from a rare deficit for the road win over Washington State, 79-64.
Satou Sabally continued her hot streak in Pac-12 play leading Oregon to their best ever 7-0 undefeated start in Conference play. The road is never an easy place to play, and after some early struggles in the first and second quarter where rebounding was a big issue, the Ducks stepped up on the second half.
Sabally led the team in scoring with a blistering 33 points. She was 8 for 11 from three-point range finishing with 8 rebounds. Maite Cazorla, who had key shots last week at home in wins over Arizona and Arizona State was kept quiet. She finished with no points in the game, but did have five assists against Washington State. The Cougars focused on Cazorla in certain spots, but good teams find a way and the Ducks had too many weapons. Ruthy Hebard finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Sabrina Ionescu ended the game with 14 points and 7 rebounds, but it was Sabally leading the charge for Oregon. For the game, the Ducks hit 51 percent from the floor holding Washington State to 39 percent. Sabally led the charge from beyond the arc as the Ducks hit 53 percent from distance.
Both teams finished with 10 turnovers. Oregon had 26 points in the paint and saw more efficiency with 17 assists led by Ionescu with 7. The Ducks finished the game stronger than they started hitting 4 of their final 5 shots to win the game pulling away when in essence it was closer than that.
In the final quarter, Oregon hit 4 of 7 from beyond the arc in a game that saw them down at the break 34-30 after an uncharacteristic 2nd quarter that saw them with just 12 points on the scoreboard.
Oregon takes an 11 game winning streak into Seattle on Sunday to take on the Washington Huskies before returning home to face the mountain schools next week. The Ducks and Huskies tipoff Sunday at 2 pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network.
