Sabrina Ionescu did not win National Player of the Year but did win the Nancy Lieberman Award for Best Point Guard. Her 18 triple-doubles in her career, including one in the NCAA Tournament this year at home against Indiana will give the Oregon Ducks an advantage with the bulk of their Starting Lineup returning next season.

While Maite Cazorla will be missed, her style fo play will need to be implemented. Her ability to run the Pick and Role was among the best in the country in her time in Eugene. The Ducks will also add some additional height next season with the addition of Satou Sabally’s sister Nyara, who spent this season rehabbing an injury.

Ionescu announced her decision on The Players Tribune in a piece that was perfectly penned by the Ducks Junior. She was humble, humored, and direct. She outlined her thoughts on the season, as well as how she has become the player she is.

Sabrina Ionescu finished the 2018-19 season averaging over 19 points and 7 rebounds per game. She led the team by far with 311 assists and Offensively hit 44 percent from the floor and 42 percent from beyond the arc.
