The Oregon Women’s Basketball Team is having quite the offseason in adding another top player for the Class of 2020.

Last month it was Sydney Parrish who joined the Class of 2020. She clearly sent a message. For Women’s Basketball, Oregon may be the place to be. When recruiting, one key phrase keeps coming up for the Oregon Ducks and has for the last few seasons. Family.

Along with the togetherness, is the selflessness that is shown on the court and wanting teammates to find success on the court. Sabrina Ionescu was the first to give the Oregon Ducks a chance three years ago under Head Coach Kelly Graves and now it will be paying future dividends.

On Saturday, 5-Star Point Guard Te-Hina Paopao added herself to the growing list of top talent heading to Eugene. She had her visit to Eugene last weekend during the Oregon Football Spring Game. PaoPao has gotten attention since he was 14 years old when NCAA All-Time Leading Scorer Kelsey Plum made everyone aware of the special talent in San Diego at the time.

The five-star talent has had the eyes of schools since she was 14, and has also endured several injuries including two ACL tears in recent years. She is now prepared to join the Ducks. She said of her injuries that they taught her about perseverance and grit.

PaoPao plays currently at La Jolla Day High School in Oceanside, Calfornia. She is currently the 14th Best Player in the Class of 2020 by Prospects Nation. Her trip to Oregon was her only official visit that she took in her recruitment.

Te-Hina PaoPao is the Oregon Ducks third commitment in the Class of 2020 following Guard Sydney Parrish and Forward Angela Dugalic. Both PaoPao and Dugalic spent time together on campus. Both had official visits to Oregon during the Spring Game two weeks ago.
