After playing limited minutes his rookie season with the Washington Wizards, Troy Brown was impressive in his time before the injury during NBA Summer League action.

Brown had two points in seven minutes prior to the injury but showed off his ability and athleticism in Las Vegas.

During the final ten games of the regular season, Troy Brown was given an opportunity. With the team out of the playoff race, he came in and averaged 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in just over 30 minutes per game as the Wizards wanted to see what they had in the former Oregon Duck. His development continued in the NBA Summer League.

Last week, against the  New Orleans Pelicans, Brown had a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds and was able to easily get to the net when he had the ball. Troy Brown showed off his ability, looking more the part of an NBA Player while also finding the hole to drive through as well as getting the ball to his teammates.

Brown showed at Oregon that he could be versatile and play multiple positions. Washington has helped the former Duck to narrow things down and he had found success. While another season with Oregon would likely have helped his development, his experience toward the end of last season as well as his time in the NBA Summer League has shown promise for Brown.

With offseason movement affecting other teams, I do not see Brown as part of a move by the Washington Wizards in the offseason. He will likely start the season once again in 2019-20 on the bench for the Wizards but should see an increase in playing time based on the numbers he as put up recently in impressive fashion.
