Oregon Basketball Recruiting: 5-Star N’Faly Dante Commits To Oregon, Will Play In 2019
Oregon Basketball has found their answer at Center for the next few seasons with the addition of N’Faly Dante.
The five-star recruit not only reclassified for the Class of 2019, he also committed to play for Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks. Dante is 6’11” and 230 pounds. Whie is is no Bol Bol, he adds a much-needed dimension of a big man to Altman’s lineup. Francis Okoro is the other piece of the big man puzzle entering the upcoming season.
N’Faly Dante is the programs third highest-ranked commit in history coming in behind Bol Bol, who did not last his entire Freshman season, and Malik Hairston. Dante stands out as a defensive player entering Oregon this season. He is a solid defender and rebounder and along with Okoro could be a key to the Ducks season.

What continues to amaze me is that Dana Altman always seems to find a way to find the talent to come play at Oregon. He has done it every year he has been here, but Dante has the chance to be special.
ESPN ranks him the 13th best player in the country out of their Top 100. More importantly, Altman has put the Oregon Ducks in a positon to make a run at the Pac-12 Title, as well as make a postseason run in the NCAA Tournament.
The Arizona Wildcats have lost a key piece in Brandon Williams for the season. It appears the Pac-12 may again be up for grabs for a team that can put a few things together. Some team chemistry and some luck can go a long way. if you have followed Oregon Basketball over the last few years you already know this. It includes a 10 game winning streak through to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament a year ago and a loss to eventual NCAA Champion Virginia.
