Oregon stumbled out of the gate with their last-second loss to Auburn and will play their fourth straight game after 4 pm Pacific Time at Stanford. Oregon Football opened the season on the national stage in a top 25 matchup with Auburn with a 4:30 pm Pacific Time kickoff. Last weekend, the Ducks topped Nevada on Pac-12 Network in primetime and will face Montana in the final kickoff in the country on Saturday at 7:45 pm Pacific Time.

The Oregon Ducks have been led as much by their defense as their offense this season. In his first season, Andy Avalos has found the balance in the Ducks first two games of the regular season, playing both the passing game and the run game in impressive fashion. Against Nevada, Oregon held the Wolf Pack to just 12 first down and 3 for 17 on third down. Troy Dye had 15 tackles against Auburn while DJ Johnson was the one to shine against Nevada as the Defense held Nevada to just 6 points on the scoreboard for the game.

Through two games, Oregon Football ranks in the top 50 allowing the opposition to convert 30 percent on third down. This is a number that hopefully continues to improve throughout the rest of the season. The Ducks defense is tied for 7th in the country for Team Tackles for a Loss showing consistency with 10 per game so far in 2019.

Oregon Football welcomes Montana on Saturday night at Autzen Stadium for a 7:45 pm kickoff on Pac-12 Network before heading to the farm next weekend with a Pac-12 opening road trip to Stanford for a 4 pm Pacific Time kickoff on ESPN.
