Oregon Football returns home following a bye week to welcome California(4-0) for a primetime matchup on FOX.

While the Oregon Ducks could be in for a special season with a defense that has not allowed a touchdown in their last three games, including a big road win at Stanford to open Pac-12 play, Cal is also finding ways to not only win but impress as well.

The California Golden Bears entered the season as a team with one of better secondaries in the Pac-12 and they have lived up to the billing so far. Cal beat Washington on the road in Week 2 in a game that was delayed by thunderstorms. They have moved up to 15th in the latest Associated Press poll and with the Ducks having a bye week, could very well be ahead of Oregon. The Golden Bears will host Arizona State on Friday night.

In their first four games this season, Oregon Football has shown their growth on the defensive side of the ball and lead the Pac-12 Conference in nearly every defensive category. It is also not just the starters who are getting the job done. Stanford was a big road test for this young defense and they passed giving up just two field goals on the farm.

Oregon Football seems to be trending as a team that needs to be in primetime. They have received the treatment so far this season and it will continue for their next two games with their kickoff vs both California and Colorado after 5 pm Pacific Time. The exposure will only help the Ducks work their way into the top ten as they look for a spot in the final four and the College Football Playoff before all is said and done, but they should just worry about the Pac-12 North. The rest will fall into place.

Oregon and California will kick off from Autzen Stadium on Saturday, October 5th at 5 pm Pacific Time on FOX.
