Oregon Football brought out their best on Friday night as Justin Hebert was stellar. The Ducks Defense forced Steven Montez into four interceptions in a 45-3 win.

Oregon Football won the opening coin toss and elected to receive. After a promising start to the opening drive, a bad snap put the Ducks in a 2nd and 29 spot. Jaylon Redd helped the Ducks get the yards back and CJ Verdell had several catches out of the backfield on the drive. Herbert passed to Jacob Breeland for the first touchdown of the game and his 34th straight game with a touchdown pass.

Colorado saw their first opportunity come and go as Steven Montez took Colorado to a three and out after having a Wide Receiver open on third down.

Juwan Johnson caught his first pass as an Oregon Duck to open the ensuing drive. The Autzen Stadium crowd showed their appreciation. Herbert then completed a long pass to Bryan Addison to the Colorado 7 yard line, but Addison was out of bounds on the play. It brought up 4th Down and Oregon went for it.

Herbert threw a pass to Mycah Pittman for the first down. Two plays later CJ Verdell was stopped short as the Ducks went for it on another 4th down and not convert. Colorado would take over on their own 19-yard line.

On their next drive, Colorado found ways to get first downs. Oregon Defenders thought they had tackles for a loss, but the Buffaloes finished plays working their way to the Oregon 17 yard line. Colorado would settle on a 27-yard field goal to make it 7-3 Ducks.

Oregon would settle for a field goal on their next drive after Herbert was unable to connect on back to back attempts with Juwan Johnson. Camden Lewis made it 10-3 Oregon.

CJ Verdell led Oregon down the field on their next drive with runs of 18 and 33 yards leading to a Johnny Johnson catch at the one yard line and a 1st and Goal. Cyrus Habibi-Likio added the touchdown on the next play to make it 17-3 Oregon.

The Colorado Offense would find some yards on their next drive getting to the Oregon 1-yard line and a first and goal. Troy Dye and Jevon Holland were injured on the series. Colorado had two penalties and could not get out of their own way with one penalty taking the ball to the 10 yard line, Montez got the Buffs back to the one and on the next play saw another 10-yard penalty back to the 11-yard line. Verone McKinley III would intercept Montez in the endzone giving the ball back to Oregon at the 25 yard line.

Jaylon Redd added a touchdown as a Running Back decoy to make it 24-3 Oregon over Colorado before halftime.

Colorado opened the second half with the ball, but would not have it long. A pass deflection from Verone McKinley III allowed Bryson Young to intercept Steven Montez. Oregon would turn in into six points to extend their lead to 31-3 as Jaylon Redd pulled in his second touchdown of the game to make it 31-3 Oregon.

Steven Montez would be intercepted a third time by Verone McKinley III on the next Colorado drive taking the ball to the Colorado 7 yard line, a 53-yard return. Oregon scored on the next play as Cyrus Habibi-Likio took in his second score of the game to make it 38-3 Oregon.

On the next Colorado drive, Nick Pickett intercepted Montez in the endzone and took over at the 25 yard line. Oregon would punt for the first time in the game, but when they got the ball back CJ Verdell powered his way for 70 yards leading to a 1st and Goal from the 7 yard line. The Ducks would add a third touchdown from Cyrus Habibi-Likio to take a 45-3 lead on the Colorado Buffaloes.

Colorado missed a field goal before the end, and Oregon won their fifth straight game but at a cost on the defensive end. Troy Dye and Jevon Holland were dinged up. Dye returned briefly, Holland was seen taken off on a cart. Jacob Breeland was also injured during the game and was seen on crutches.

Oregon travels to Washington to take on the Huskies next week. Kickoff is set for 12:30 pm Pacific Time next Saturday on ABC.
