Oregon Football left it all on the field, coming back from a two-touchdown deficit to beat Washington on the road, 35-31
As the game started, Quarterback Justin Herbert was near perfect as he moved Oregon down the field to take a 7-0 lead. Spencer Webb caught his second touchdown of the year, but this was Washington and a rivalry game and there was no way it was going to be that easy.
The Huskies Offense made the Ducks defense look silly in the first half, scoring 21 points, which was more than they had given up in Pac-12 play before the game. Through the first month and a half of the season, the Oregon defense allowed just 17 points to conference opponents, holding them all to single-digit scoring.
Oregon did not have a 100-yard rusher in the game, relying on the running back by committee method. Washington’s rush defense was up to the challenge and kept Oregon in a lot of third and long situations, however, the Ducks managed those spots well completing 5 of 13 for 1st downs and converting two fourth-down conversions. Justin Herbert was able to work the pocket and stay clean most of the game.
