Oregon Football returns home after a big win over the Washington Huskies and face the Air Raid Offense of Washington State on Saturday.

Justin Herbert has had a stellar season so far. In Pac-12 play, he is completing close to 70 percent of his passes and has thrown just two interceptions. He brought Oregon back from a two-touchdown deficit last week in a comeback victory over Washington on the road and the challenge this week is different, but the goal is the same.

Earlier this week Wide Receiver Brenden Schooler announced he was entering the transfer portal. He has played in three games this season and missed the first month with a foot injury he suffered over the summer. Without his experience, the next man up philosophy will be in full effect.

Last week Mycah Pittman caught his first touchdown as a Duck and he is likely to earn a starting spot on the field today. Expect Jaylon Redd and Bryan Addison to also see an increased role. I expect that CJ Verdell may also see some catchable footballs thrown his way out of the backfield. If there is one thing we have seen this season, Oregon has found ways to adjust to injuries on the offensive side of the ball.

The Oregon Defense also remains strong despite giving up 31 points on the road last week. They will certainly be tested today as Deommodore Lenoir and Thomas Graham Jr. should hear their names called.

Dave Bartoo from the College Football Matrix says the Ducks Defensive efficiency dropped slightly to 7th nationally over the last month. The Ducks offensive efficiency after regressing over the last few seasons is actually up slightly this season. While Offensive Coordinator Marcus Arroyo was named Athlon Sports Offensive Coordinator of the Week for the win over the Huskies, While this is a good thing, Bartoo is not sold on Arroyo just yet and is waiting to see how things develop next season without Justin Herbert at Quarterback.

Oregon Football meets the Washington State Cougars Saturday night at 7:30 pm Pacific Time on ESPN.
