The Oregon Women’s Basketball team will face three teams in three days in the Paradise Jam in the US Virgin Islands starting with a 5-0 Oklahoma State team on Thursday.
For Oklahoma State, the player to watch is Vivian Gray. She is hitting .364 from the floor and .300 from three-point range. The Cowgirls system has not seen a lot of three-pointers this season with the team hitting just 21 of 79 on the season, just 26 percent. On the other side, the Oregon Ducks are playing like the top team in the country.
Sabrina Ionescu leads the Pac-12 and the country with over 8 assists per game. Ionescu also leads the nation in both Men’s and Women’s Basketball in triple-doubles. Minyon Moore is starting to find her way in the Ducks Offense with an assist-to-turnover ratio that is second in the nation averaging 8.5 per game.

Satou Sabally saw her first action of the 2019-20 season against Syracuse after starting the season overseas playing for the German National team. In the win over the Orange, Sabally had 23 points in 9 rebounds in the Ducks first road win of the season.
Oklahoma State has started the season undefeated. Among the teams they have beaten are Rice, Idaho State and a road game at Tulsa. Following Oregon on Thursday, the face a top team in Louisville on Friday. OSU is averaging 70 points per game while holding opponents to under 50. I expect that to end on Thursday.
While Sabrina Ionescu was unable to get much going early against Syracuse, I expect her to be a key player against Oklahoma State. Ionescu brings with her a team that has seen more than most and led by their Senior class including Ionescu, Ruthy Hebard, and Erin Boley. They can shoot from anywhere on the floor, but Ionescu is the one that runs the floor.
Oregon and Oklahoma State tipoff Thursday at 12:15 Pacific Time. In Eugene, you can hear the game on KUGN 590 AM. The game is also streaming via FloHoops(subscription service).
