The Paradise Jam in the US Virgin Islands was the first tournament of the year for Oregon who played three games in three days. Sabrina Ionescu finished with just 13 points and was 1 for 9 from three-point range and an uncharacteristic 6 for 20 from the floor against Louisville. As far as the drop, Oregon would have liked nothing more than to have an undefeated season, but that is a rare feat.
Kelly Graves knows his team will play better and this was an early season wake up call of sorts. Oregon will see the Stanford Cardinal twice during Pac-12 play this season starting next month. The Ducks will have a chance to re-establish where they belong.
Stanford has eleven days before their next contest as they play Ohio State on December 15th. Syracuse ended a run of 31 consecutive weeks in the poll with losses to Oregon, Stanford, and Green Bay in their last three games.
