Oregon Softball Head Coach Melissa Lombardi announced the 2020 Schedule on Thursday and the Ducks will see 24 games at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Unlike last season, Starting Pitcher Jordan Dail will not be alone in the circle. Lombardi has brought in some help including Freshman Makenna Klierthermes and Junior Brooke Yanez. Catcher Terra McGowan will also be eligible after having to sit out last season. Oregon opens the season with the usual round of tournaments away from home including the Mary Nutter Classic.

The Ducks will also play an exhibition team against the US Women’s National Team on March 18th as the team welcomes home Janie Takeda, now Janie Reed. Oregon will face 18 teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last season as they look to make a push to return to the postseason with a quick turnaround under second-year Head Coach Melyssa Lombardi.

Oregon opens the season February 6th in the Puerta Vallarta College Challenge and will face Utah Vally, BYU, George Washington, Nevada, and Long Beach State. The team then turns to Houston to face Dayton and Houston, both teams twice over four days before heading to the Mary Nutter Classic.

This season the Mary Nutter Classic features Notre Dame and Mississippi State. The Ducks will also see Bethune-Cookman, Idaho, and Northwestern out of the Big Ten Conference.

The nearly month-long road trip ends in Oklahoma in the Tulsa/OSU Invitational. The Ducks will see Oklahoma State, Louisville, Tulsa, Drake, and Illinois Chicago before opening the season at Jane Sanders Stadium. If the Ducks do well in their first 19 games, being home at Jane Sanders Stadium could be a launching pad for a terrific season.

Oregon opens the home slate starting March 6th with Seattle, Loyola Marymount, and Portland State. The Ducks open Pac-12 play with Cal before facing the US National team. The Ducks will then host Stanford before traveling to Washington. Oregon returns home to face Utah before visiting Arizona State, hosting Arizona and Boise State. The Ducks will wrap up April with a three-game series vs Oregon State.

The Oregon Ducks will then face several non-conference opponents with Texas Tech and Grand Canyon coming to Eugene. The Ducks end the homestand hosting UCLA to close out the regular season. Oregon will have opportunities to improve throughout the season and the friendly confines of Jane Sanders Stadium will play a big role.

Oregon starts the 2020 season on February 6th in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge against Utah Valley.
