Oregon Basketball: Ducks Fall vs Stanford, Go Cold In Second Half
For the game, Oregon Basketball shot just 32 percent from the floor and 20 percent in the second half in a 70-60 loss at Stanford.
The Stanford Cardinal used to own the Oregon Ducks in football, now they own Oregon in a basketball. The Ducks kept things pretty even to start, but the game was won by the Cardinal in the second half. Stanford took a +12 advantage on the boards in the final 20 minutes winning the game by ten points
After hitting 44 percent in the first half from the floor, the Ducks went ice cold in the second half hitting just 6 of 20 from the floor. Payton Prichard and Chris Duarte were both 5 for 21 from the field goal range for the game as Stanford took control in the waning minutes of the game. For the Ducks, three players scored in double figures.

Will Richardson had the hot hand for the Ducks and he was the only one hitting 6 of 8 from the floor for 17 points. He also had three steals and was 4 for 5 from the free-throw line.
Anthony Mathis who started the season hot from the free-throw line played 24 minutes and had 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals to help key the Ducks Defense. Stanford shot the ball better in the second half and that was the difference in the game.
The Stanford Cardinal hit better than 30 percent in the first half and 50 percent in the second half. Oscar de Silva had 27 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double. The Cardinal finished with 41 rebounds to the Ducks 39.
Oregon now has a week to get ready for Oregon State. The first Civil War will take place in Corvallis. Despite the split in California between Cal and Stanford, the Ducks are still in good shape just a game into the second half of the season. They are still ranked inside the top fifteen in the country.
