The NBA Trades are flowing. Less than 24 hours after signing Dillon Brooks to a three-year extension, the Memphis Grizzlies welcomed Jordan Bell to the fold.

Jordan Bell brings a dynamic athlete to the Memphis Grizzlies and along with former Oregon teammate Dillon Brooks, both will bring some chemistry for the rest of the season along with some highlight play potential.

Brooks signed a $35 million, 3-year extension on Wednesday as the team fireworks began. Word is that Memphis is not done and is looking to also trade Andre Iguodala who has not played for the team this season. The Grizzlies currently hold a three-game lead over the Portland Trailblazers for the final playoff spot.

Jordan Bell has spent some time traveling in the NBA. He started his career with the Golden State Warriors, earning an NBA Championship with the team during the 2017-18 season. He has played in 27 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season and was traded on February 5th the Houston Rockets before another trade that reunited him with his former teammate, Dillon Brooks, on Thursday.

Bell has primarily played the role of a reserve player throughout his career, earning a few spot starts here and there. It is not known how the Memphis lineup will change, but I expect that Head Coach Taylor Jenkins has some roster shuffling to figure out.

Late in the day Thursday, Memphis trade Andre Iguodala along with Jae Crowder to the Miami Heat for Justice Winslow and James Johnson. Bell could find himself in the mix for a starting position with Memphis.

It is not known if the new faces will be in place in time for their next game. The Memphis Grizzlies meet the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. Tip time is set for 4 pm Pacific Time.
