The Oregon Women’s Basketball team continued to dominate with three-pointers and Sabrina Ionescu earned her 24th career triple-double in an 85-52 win over Arizona.

Oregon brought an eight-game winning streak into the matchup against Arizona on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks are coming off a big win at Uconn against the Huskies from Monday night.

Arizona came to Eugene with Aari McDonald who has been impressive with 58 straight games scoring 10 points or more in a game. She was the key for the Wildcats and the player to keep an eye on for the Ducks.

The Wildcats scored the opening basket as both teams started the game a little chippy. Less than three minutes into the game there were four fouls called, two for each team. Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally both hit early three-pointers to help the Ducks to an 8-3 lead.

At the end of the first quarter, the Ducks had an 18-10 lead and McDonald was scoreless going 0 for 3 from the floor in the opening 10 minutes of the game.

McDonald scored her first points of the game with just under 8 minutes left in the first half. Oregon missed scoring on three opportunities down the floor as Arizona went on a 6-0 run in 90 seconds to pull within four.

Oregon found a run of their own after three turnovers scoring on three straight trips down the floor over a 57-second span to push the lead to 26-18. Oregon would end the first half on a 13-2 run taking a 39-22 lead into the locker room.

Midway through the third quarter, the Ducks were back in control with back to back plays with Ruthy Hebard scoring off an assist by Satou Sabally. The next time down the floor Hebard passed to Sabally for the score pushing the Ducks lead to 53-28 and forcing an Arizona timeout.

Arizona did their best to stop Oregon in the third quarter, but the Ducks were not denied. They outscored Arizona 33-16 in the quarter. Sabrina Ionescu hit a three-point shot three feet past the three-point line to end the third quarter giving Oregon a 72-38 lead. Ionescu was two assists away from a triple-double for the game.

Four minutes into the fourth quarter, Ionescu had her 24th career triple-double and the Ducks were pulling away with a 78-47 lead.

In the end, Oregon won the game 85-52. The Ducks scored 24 points off 19 turnovers, 7 by Arii McDonald. The Ducks return to Matthew Knight Arena to take on Arizona State looking to avenge the loss from last month. Tipoff is set for 2 pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
