Oregon Women’s Basketball: Ducks Dominate In Win at UCLA
It was a game of top ten teams and the Oregon Ducks dominated from the start scoring 22 points in the first quarter in an 80-66 road win at UCLA.
Ruthy Hebard and Sabrina Ionescu were again the names called for the Ducks vs the Bruins. Hebard finished the game with a team-high 30 points and 17 rebounds. Sabrina Ionescu was her typical self as she netted her 1000th career assist becoming just the second player to do so in NCAA history. Up next for Ionescu, 1000 rebounds which is within reach by the end of the season.
Oregon dominated from the start opening the game in the first quarter allowing just 8 points as UCLA struggled to get things going on offense. UCLA shot 37 percent from the floor and under 10 percent from three-point range for the game shooting just 2 for 23.

The Ducks opened the game on a 7-0 run and never looked back. Five of the first points came from Minyon Moore, a player with a California connection. Moore finished with 9 points and 3 assists. She also had two of the team’s 12 turnovers in the game.
Hebard led the way with 42 points in the paint and the Ducks had 17 assists and 14 second-chance points.
Holly Winterburn saw her first game action since the game against Arizona State last week at Matthew Knight Arena.
On Friday night, the Oregon State Beavers lost against the USC Trojans on the road paving the way for Oregon to maintain their Pac-12 lead if they continue to win. Oregon is also now the only team in the Pac-12 Conference that is undefeated in conference play on their home floor following their win at UCLA.
Oregon will look for their 12th straight win on Sunday against USC. Tipoff against the Trojans is set for 1 pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
