The Oregon Ducks used a three-point barrage to defeat the Utah Utes hitting 50 percent from beyond the arc in an 80-62 win over the Utah Utes.

Payton Pritchard led the way with 25 points hitting 5 of 9 from three-point range. The Ducks started the game 9 fo 12 on the way to the win. The Ducks forced Utah into 13 turnovers, including five shot-clock violations as their young offense was not able to get things going against the more experience Oregon Ducks Defense.

Oregon opened the game with three-point baskets on their first three possessions to open an early 11-4 lead. From there, they didn’t look back. Anthony Mathis and Will Richardson got into the act as the Ducks took a 40-24 lead into halftime.

Francis Okoro found six points at the start of the second half as Utah tried to mount a comeback. Addison Patterson finished with 10 points, 3 assists, and 2 blocked shots for the Ducks defense. Patterson’s play was a much needed bright spot for a team that is still awaiting the return of N’Faly Dante to the lineup.

Chris Duarte had an off night not scoring in 28 minutes on the floor. He finished with 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

With the wins over Colorado and Utah, the Ducks moved back up the Associated Press poll to 14th. Oregon enters the most important road trip of the season facing the Arizona schools this week. This weekend will go a long way into determining where Oregon will go in the month of March, as well as seeding for the Pac-12 Tournament.

Both games will be broadcast on ESPN. Oregon travels to Arizona State first on Thursday at 6 pm before visiting Arizona on Saturday at 6 pm. Both times are Pacific Time.
