Last month, Jordan Bell joined the Memphis Grizzlies and was reunited with Dillon Brooks. Both were teammates at Oregon, but the reunion came to an end on Tuesday.

Bell played two games for Memphis before he was waived by the team and he now looks for a new home. The former Oregon Duck may have a hard time finding a fit as his size and athleticism have him stuck between an ideal position. He’s not small enough to be a power forward, but some teams may be too small to play center.

He does have one thing on his side. Bell has experience with a championship team having played with the Golden State Warriors.  His experience led to a qualifying offer this past summer, but he declined it joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in free agency.

Jordan Bell has always had a prowess for Defense. He was a key player with the Oregon Ducks. His offense needs some work. Unfortunately, in the current NBA, it seems that every player has to have the knack for both sides of the ball. Bell went to Minnesota hoping for a starting spot, which never really materialized.

In Minnesota this season he did not earn a start but played in 27 games barely registering on the stat sheet with 3 points per game. He played two games for Memphis averaging 10 minutes a game averaging 10 points.

With the trades over the last few weeks, Bell is quickly becoming a journeyman player, which is not a good place to be. While he has played for Golden State, Minnesota and Memphis, he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls. He was traded to the Houston Rockets on February 5th before landing in Memphis.

With injuries mounting in Philadelphia, Bell could be an asset for the 76ers with his size over the next few months. The addition could provide some consistency in several areas for the team that have Joel Embiid on the shelf with a shoulder injury and several others who aren’t quite fitting into their respective roles.

In his career, Jordan Bell has played in 154 games with 16 starts. He is hitting better than 50 percent from the field averaging 12 minutes and 4 points per game.
